Life Saving Classes on Thursdays 8-10pm
Joining a class of 4 to 6 students, you will learn all aspects of Lifesaving,
which includes resuscitation skills and basic first aid.
As we run a rolling programme anyone can join the programme at any time but must complete all parts of the course
to a satisfactory level before being entered into an assessment.
Bring some unlined sports clothes to swim in.
We'll assess your swimming abililty when you join.
This is fun and easy:
- Jump or dive into deep water
- Swim 100m continuously in 4 minutes
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive to a depth of 1.5m
- Climb out of the pool unaided
The end of the Bronze Medallion course is the beginning of your real training.
You become a full member of the club with all the benefits.
Ongoing training is essential if you are to refresh, develop and extend your skills.
We also run training sessions in the sea during the summer months,
so there is the opportunity to try skills you have learnt in an open water environment.
If you have any questions simply email us now.
